Telling the Story of God’s Faithfulness
When VOUS Church set out to create a coffee table book, it wasn’t about making something pretty to display. It was about documenting a decade of God’s faithfulness. Every ministry moment, every conference, and every Sunday gathering told a story of lives changed and vision fulfilled. What started as a creative idea turned into something sacred, a way to remember what God has done.
In a fast-paced, digital world, a coffee table book helps people slow down. It invites them to pause, to reflect, and to see themselves in the story. It’s a reminder of how far God has brought us and a vision for where He’s taking us next.
Why Create a Coffee Table Book?
For a church, storytelling isn’t just creative; it’s spiritual. It’s how we give glory to God and remind our people that they’re part of something bigger.
A coffee table book can:
- Mark a milestone. Whether you’re celebrating ten years, dedicating a new building, or highlighting a ministry moment, it becomes a tangible marker of God’s goodness.
- Inspire future generations. Printed stories outlast screens. They give future teams, pastors, and families a foundation to build on.
- Strengthen community. When people see their faces, their moments, and their memories in print, they feel seen and connected to the mission.
- Build legacy. Every page reminds us that what we’re building today will impact tomorrow.

How It Came to Life: The VOUS Process
Creating the VOUS Church coffee table book was both creative and practical. Here’s a look at the process that guided our team from idea to print.
Step 1: Start with Purpose
We began by asking a simple question: Why does this matter? Our goal was clear, to celebrate ten years of ministry and to capture the heart behind it all: people, moments, and mission.
Step 2: Build a Team
This was a cross-department effort between Communications, Design, Photography, and Production. Each team brought a unique perspective, from story curation and writing to layout and design.
Step 3: Gather Stories
Our Communications Team helped shape the language and tone, collecting stories that reflected the journey of our church. We wrote, refined, and edited alongside the Design Team to ensure every page had purpose.
Step 4: Collect Media
Our Photo Team sifted through ten years of photos and footage to find the right moments that best represented the story. Each image was carefully edited for consistency and quality.
Step 5: Review and Refine
Over several rounds of proofing and feedback, we made sure the details were right, from color tones to captions to layout.
Step 6: Finalize Printing
We partnered with a trusted printer to bring the vision to life, selecting paper, finishes, and binding that reflected the care and quality of the story we were telling.
Step 7: Archive the Work
After printing, our team organized all deliverables, including print files, digital versions, and backups to ensure future accessibility. We closed the project with a team debrief to capture lessons learned and celebrate the milestone.

Legacy in Print
Creating a coffee table book isn’t just a design project; it’s an act of stewardship. It’s about taking time to remember and give God glory for every step of the journey. For VOUS, the process reminded us that what began as a dream is now a story worth sharing, a story that continues to unfold, one page at a time.
